The Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs is WVU’s chief academic officer, overseeing colleges and academic units in their advancement of land-grant mission of education, research, and outreach. This includes undergraduate and graduate education in the eleven colleges on the Morgantown campus as well as at two divisional campuses, WVU Institute of Technology in Montgomery and Potomac State College of WVU in Keyser.

Further, the Provost is responsible for the administration of academic policies, programs, facilities, and budgetary matters pertaining to academic personnel; enrollment management; community engagement and outreach; online, extended, and professional education; information technology; global engagement; libraries; the registrar; and some research and economic development.
