Beverly Wendland

Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs

Provost Wendland is a seasoned administrator, researcher and faculty member who believes deeply in the transformational power of education, research, and discovery.

She is committed to advancing West Virginia University’s land-grant mission of delivering high-quality education and research to improve the lives of citizens of the Mountain State and beyond. As a first-generation college student herself, Wendland understands the profound impact that higher-education opportunities and access can have on young students and adult learners alike.
