As assistant vice president, DeBastiani works across campus to plan, coordinate and implement Provost's Office strategic efforts.

Prior to coming to West Virginia University, DeBastiani worked in government contracting for nearly 15 years. Supporting the Department of Justice and Department of Energy, she served as program and financial leadership on various strategic implementations. Additionally, DeBastiani spent three years working in the private sector, managing large-scale projects in support of multiple Fortune 500 companies. She rounded out her experience with three years in non-profit, serving as a consultant overseeing revitalization projects across West Virginia.

DeBastiani holds her MBA, MA (History), and BA (History) all from West Virginia University. Additionally, DeBastiani is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
