Weekly Update: A Reminder to Recharge

Dear WVU Faculty and Instructors:

In recognition of our Spring Holiday, I’m keeping it short today. Please know how much I appreciate everything you have done and are doing to make our online semester work. I’m hearing so many examples of the creative methods you're using to teach from a distance and keep our students engaged. This crisis has brought out the very best from our Mountaineer family, and I’m proud to be a part of it.

As we begin a long holiday weekend, I hope you make time to do something special with your family and get outside and enjoy nature. Spring has made its debut regardless of COVID-19, and the trees and flowers are in full bloom.

Collectively, we are facing a significant amount of disruption and uncertainty. But individually, we can begin to shift that energy by recharging and reconnecting. Use the extra day to reach out to loved ones, reset and relax.

And a reminder to all: Today is a University holiday, so there should be no classroom instruction.

Continue to care of yourselves and each other, and I will “see” you next week.

Sincerely,
