Register for the March 8 Benedum Distinguished Scholars Showcase

2022 Benedum Scholars Composite

The Office of the Provost invites the University community to the upcoming Benedum Distinguished Scholars Showcase, scheduled for March 8 at 7 p.m.

This year’s celebration will offer both an in-person event at the Gladys G. Davis Theatre of the WVU Creative Arts Center and a livestream option for virtual viewers. Seating for the one-hour event will be reserved on a first-come, first-served basis. Interested attendees must register online to attend. Virtual audience members can tune in via the Benedum Distinguished Scholars Showcasewebsite for the livestream. A reception will follow the event at the CAC.

Styled after James Lipton's Emmy-award winning series "Inside the Actors Studio," WVU's "Inside the Scholars Studio" will highlight short videos of the three faculty members who were named as the Benedum Distinguished Scholars last spring , followed by a live panel discussion focused on research, passion and purpose. Honorees include Cari Carpenter, Lisa Holland, and Cheryl McNeil - all of the Eberly College of Arts and Sciences.

Visit the website for additional details about the event and the honored scholars.
