Academic Transformation: An Overview | January 24, 2022
Provost Maryanne Reed and President Gordon Gee discuss the “big picture” reasons behind the University’s academic transformation efforts, including the challenges facing higher education. Reed outlines ongoing initiatives, as well as progress to date and new priorities for the Spring 2022 semester . Interested participants are encouraged to watch the recording of The Changing Higher Education Landscape – a December 2019 presentation by EAB’s David Attis to the WVU Faculty Senate – prior to the event.

Academic Transformation Student Success and Academic Advising | February 24, 2022
Provost Maryanne Reed and Associate Provost for Undergraduate Education Evan Widders discuss strategies for improving student success, with a focus on strengthening the undergraduate academic advising model to better serve students and improve the University’s retention, persistence and graduation rates. Matt Mustard, an associate director with EAB – a higher education consultancy with whom the Provost’s Office is partnering on these efforts – presents data on national trends and best practices.
