Assistant Provost for Teaching and Learning and Dean of WVU Online
As the Assistant Provost for Teaching and Learning and the Dean of WVU Online at West Virginia University, Dr. Keith Bailey oversees the day-to-day operations of both WVU Online and the University’s Teaching and Learning Commons. Primary unit goals include increasing enrollments through online programming and supporting the teaching and learning mission of the institution (via faculty development and instructional design initiatives). Dr. Bailey also manages special programming related to summer and winter session offerings.
Prior to joining WVU in 2016, Dr. Bailey served as the Director of the Office of Online Learning at the University of Georgia and as the Assistant Dean for eLearning at the Penn State University’s College of Arts and Architectures.
Dr. Bailey earned his doctoral degree in Workforce Education Training and Development at The Pennsylvania State University’s College of Education. He obtained his master's degree in Instructional Technology from Bloomsburg University.
